Who’s telling the truth about the acai berry?

Wednesday Feb 17, 2010

Chloe_B_ asked:

Are the acai berry products like “Advanced Cleanse,” etc. that are so hot right now safe and effective, or not? There are conflicting testimonies…has anybody here tried it and found it successful, or is it a money-stealing crock?

money stealing crock, DUH! there is no magic pill or berry that will make you skinny. although the actual berries themselves are considered a “super fruit” b/c they are high in antioxidants like blueberries or cranberries. If you are eating them as part of a healthy diet and exercise routine then you will lose weight. Otherwise the only thing that will get lighter is your wallet.

The fruit itself is great, just like any other fruit. They’re healthy! In my opinion, any of the “cleansing” products that are out there i think are just a bunch of crap. If you have to put something into your body in order to “clean” it out, that just doesn’t seem logical to me. If you eat healthy and take care of your body, it cleans itself out. So yes, i think it is a money-stealing crock.

Acai berries are a good source of antioxidants but that’s all. I think you’ll find this quite interesting and a big help: http://whataweightlossjourney.blogspot.com/2010/01/is-it-really-true.html

Hope this helps!
